Kings Cross coke sign

On new years eve we passed by this famous landmark.
It brought back memories of long, fun nights, in some nightclubs there.
Such a long, long time ago.
As we drove along I saw the Bourbon and Beefsteak and the club nextdoor (the only ones I knew!!) were all closed up.
Renovation or redevelopment no doubt.
For the better?

My favourite flower.

I am really missing the weather that was cool enough to allow me to have these in abundance in the house.
They were magnificent and only about 15 dollars a bunch at woollies before Christmas.
My absolute favourite flower.

Apple love

3 days ago I was in here.

Watching all the people getting their new things all set up.

And rubbing all sorts of shiny new Macbook pros and Imacs.

Dreaming of which one I'd like next.

But that doesn't really fit in with my New Years Resolution of mindful spending.

Only when I have to, when the Vaio dies.

Then I'll use the Ipad or borrow Miss MDK's or hubby's Apple computers.

For just a little while until a newbie gets here.

How do they just get it so right?

Krispy no kreme

Oh Krispy Kreme.
Why oh why did you change your product?
I fell in love with these on our first trip to the USA. In the last few years they have done away with my favourites and made them smaller with less filling. Silly, now no one wants to buy them. They are not worth the money!

Sydney Fireworks 2012

The fireworks in Sydney last night were amazing.
They set off lots of little ones at regular intervals and then there is a good show at 9pm and then a huge one at 12am with the Bridge going OFF too.
We were lucky enough to be at Garden Island Dock, thanks sis.
There was this little plane doing acrobatics for pre show entertainment, he went through and did loopy loops in front of the bridge.
POLAIR  hovered on the sidelines.

The sunset was stunning with a perfectly clear sky.
Later there would be fireworks shooting out of these skyscrapers.

There were so many pleasure craft on the water.

It was a bird's eye view.
Even the Paparazzi were positioned here.

Stunning I tell you!

Video here, in all its jiggly, no tripod, canon G12 glory!
- after it loads, its saying 2 hours!

The hubby has taken the kiddos to the beach today and I am going to catch up on some zzzzzzs!!
